[01] Program Overview and Strategic Context
We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the Third Cohort of the AI?Empowered Design Thinking Deep Dive ¡V ¡§Design Thinking with Systems Thinking for Distinctive Value Creation¡¨ Certificate Course, held on 14¡V15 August 2026 in Hong Kong, China, and hosted by Designthinkers Academy Hong Kong (DTA HK). This two?day, high?intensity executive program was expertly facilitated by certified Design Thinking Facilitators, Mr. David Chung (standing at the center of the group photo below). The cohort convened innovation leaders from business, startup, and social service sectors, with participants joining from Hong Kong and multiple cities across the dynamic Greater Bay Area of China.
Throughout the program, participants explored how to integrate AI?empowered insights, Design Thinking, and Systems Thinking to address complex challenges and create distinctive, sustainable value for their organizations and stakeholders. The diverse mix of backgrounds and experiences fostered rich cross?sector dialogue, peer learning, and practical application, enabling participants to translate concepts into actionable strategies and innovation roadmaps.
[02] Practice?Driven Curriculum and Specialized AI?Agents
This two?day, practice?driven executive program is designed for immediate application in real?world business and organizational contexts. Over 70% of the course time is dedicated to hands?on problem?solving simulations, guiding participants through the end?to?end innovation journey:
- Determining strategic innovation directions
- Discovering and validating user needs
- Defining the highest?return opportunity spaces
- Developing innovative, customer?centric concepts
- Delivering prototypes for rapid feedback and iteration
- Driving organizational change and implementation
To further enhance the learning impact, more than 15 AI Agents for Design Thinking and Systems Thinking, selected from a curated portfolio of 150 specialised AI agents (shown below), were deployed to support participants throughout the process. These AI?enabled tools helped teams accelerate their innovation speed and improve decision accuracy, enabling faster insight generation, sharper problem framing, and more robust solution development.
[03] Collaborative Team Experience and Real?World Application
Throughout the program, participants worked in cross?functional innovation teams, jointly tackling real?life challenge scenarios. This team?based, simulation?driven approach enabled them to experience how to co?create effectively with both colleagues and AI Agents¡Xaligning diverse perspectives, making data?informed decisions, and solving complex problems in a highly collaborative and efficient manner.
By repeatedly applying the tools and methods in a realistic setting, participants built strong confidence and practical skills to translate classroom learning into immediate on?the?job application. Many left the program with a clear roadmap for integrating AI?empowered design thinking and systems thinking into their daily work practices, driving innovation and value creation within their own organizations as soon as they returned to their professional environments.
[04] Participant Reflections and Impact
At the conclusion of the workshop, each participant was invited to distill their key takeaway into a single word. The resulting reflections¡Xsuch as ¡§Inspired,¡¨ ¡§Fruitful,¡¨ ¡§Urgency,¡¨ ¡§Courageous,¡¨ and ¡§Excited¡¨¡Xcollectively conveyed a powerful sense of momentum, preparedness, and confidence to apply AI?empowered design thinking and systems thinking in their own organizational contexts.
