Course Prerequisite

Participants enrolling in this course are required to have completed the AI‑Empowered Design Thinking Fundamentals or AI‑Empowered Design Thinking Deep Dive courses, or possess an equivalent qualification from other accredited DTA  programs. This ensures that participants enter the course with a solid understanding of core Design Thinking principles, tools, and processes, enabling them to engage fully in advanced innovation team execution and facilitation practices.

Pathway to Certified Design Thinking Facilitator Qualification

Upon successful completion of this course and fulfillment of all learning and participation requirements, graduates will be eligible to apply for the DTA Certified Design Thinking Facilitator Assessment Preparation Program (Details). This official assessment is organized annually by the DesignThinkers Academy Headquarters and serves as the global qualification process for recognizing advanced facilitation competence in Design Thinking practices.


Part 3: Course Content and AI Tools

(3.1) Learning Mode

This highly interactive course equips participants with the mindsets, skill sets, and AI‑driven tool sets essential for effective Design Thinking Team Execution, preparing them to lead and deliver breakthrough business innovations. Grounded in a “learning‑by‑doing” approach, participants engage in hands‑on, collaborative team exercises and guided facilitation projects that address real organizational challenges and generate measurable outcomes.

Throughout the course, participants will take on dynamic roles as both project facilitators and active team members, applying advanced Design Thinking methods to achieve diverse innovation objectives. All tools and frameworks used are built upon the foundational knowledge acquired from the AI‑Empowered Design Thinking Fundamentals course or equivalent DesignThinkers Academy (DTA) programs, ensuring continuity, depth, and practical mastery in innovation facilitation and team execution.

(3.2) Session Content

  • Pre-Course Preparation Session
    • As each participant will take on the role of a Project Facilitator during the training, thorough preparation is essential for a successful learning experience. The Pre‑Course Preparation Session is designed to help participants understand their facilitation responsibilities, learn how to prepare effectively for their project exercises, and align on the key expectations of the course.
    • Remark: Attendance at the Pre‑Course Preparation Session is mandatory in order to qualify for the Award Certificate. The session will be conducted one week prior to the main course, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Session 1: Nurturing a Team Growth Mindset and Adaptive Thinking
    • Facilitate a growth team culture that encourages experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement.
    • By integrating adaptive thinking, facilitators inspire teams to embrace change with creativity, confidence, and agility.
  • Session 2: Transforming Challenges into Solutions through the AI‑Design Thinking Method
    • Apply the AI‑Design Thinking framework to help teams reframe complex challenges and generate actionable, high‑impact solutions.
    • Combine human insight with structured facilitation techniques to drive measurable transformation and innovation success.
  • Session 3: Developing Positive Team Dynamics and Conflict Navigation
    • Strengthen team dynamics by leveraging behavior analytics to anticipate challenges and promote constructive dialogue.

(4.4) Course Leaders: This programme is led by Mr. David Chung, Dean of DesignThinkers Academy China, who serves as the Course Leader. He is responsible for the localisation of the curriculum design and the professional review of all course content, ensuring that the learning framework aligns with international standards while remaining highly relevant to the context and needs of local enterprises. In addition, we have invited a group of senior facilitators with extensive industry experience to deliver specialised modules, bringing in-depth, real-world perspectives on innovation practice and organisational transformation.

(4.5) Certification and Recognition: Upon completing the course and required exercises, participants receive a Digital Certificate of Completion from the DesignThinkers Academy, verified through a secure blockchain-based certification system for authenticity and global recognition.
