Part 1: Course Aims and Outcomes

(1.1) Course Aims

This intensive 6-week program equips graduates of the AI Design Thinking Facilitation Certificate Course (Details) to lead a real‑world AI Design Thinking project in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of 4 human members and at least 1 AI agent. By integrating human‑AI facilitation practices, the program enables participants to apply Design Thinking principles to solve challenges strategically.

Part 3: Course Content and AI Tools

(3.1) Program Format

This intensive 6‑week preparation is structured as a real‑world project execution journey, commencing immediately after the 1‑Day Project Design Session. During the briefing, participants will receive a comprehensive orientation to the 4‑week project timeline, guidance on formulating an appropriate challenge statement, and an overview of the 30‑minute interview with 2 assessors assigned by DesignThinkers Academy Headquarters.

To keep participants supported throughout their project, three 1.5‑hour follow‑up sessions will be held in Weeks 2, 4, and 6, offering helpful feedback and practical guidance for their real‑world project execution journey.

By the end of Week 6, each candidate is required to submit an evidence‑based project report to DTA HQ that summarizes their process, outcomes, and key insights. Afterwards, a 30‑minute online interview—conducted by a DTA HQ‑assigned Design Thinking expert—will allow candidates to present their project and address follow‑up questions from the expert. Following the interviews, final assessment results will be announced within four to six weeks.

(3.2) Program Schedule

  • Before Week 1: Project Design Session
    • This intensive 6‑week preparation is designed as a real‑world project execution journey, commencing immediately after the 1‑Day Preparation Briefing Session.
    • During the briefing, participants will receive a detailed orientation to the six‑week preparation timeline, guidance on developing an appropriate challenge statement, tips for project execution, and criteria for report development.
  • Week 1: Challenge Statement Design and Team Formation
    • Confirm their simple challenge statement for their 4-week project
    • Form their multidisciplinary project team, consisting of four human members and at least one AI agent.
  • Week #2 to #3: Root Case Identification for the Challenge
    • Focus on completing the first diamond of the Design Thinking process — Discover and Define. During this stage, participants conduct user and contextual research, apply AI‑supported insight synthesis, and refine their problem definitions.
    • To ensure progress and continuity of learning, a 1.5‑hour follow‑up session will be held in week #2, providing helpful feedback and practical guidance.
  • Week #4 to #5: Solution Development for the Challenge
    • Participants work through the second diamond — Develop and Deliver, co‑creating ideas through human‑AI collaboration, developing prototypes, testing solutions, and refining deliverables.
    • Another 1.5‑hour follow‑up session will take place in Week 4 to provide feedback and support during this stage.
  • Week #6: Project Report Development and Submission
    • Participants will finalize and submit their evidence‑based project report to DTA HQ, summarizing the process, insights, and validated solutions.
    • A final follow‑up session in Week 6 will provide last‑minute guidance and help prepare candidates for the assessment phase.
  • Online Interview with Design Thinking Experts
    • Approximately 8 weeks after submitting the report, candidates will receive their scheduled interview date and time.
    • The 30‑minute online interview, conducted by a DTA‑assigned Design Thinking expert, allows each candidate to present their project outcomes and respond to clarifying questions.
  • Announcement of assessment results
    • Following the interviews, final assessment results will be announced within 2 months. Candidates who successfully pass the assessment will be formally awarded the professional title of “Certified Design Thinking Facilitator”, recognized internationally with the DesignThinkers Academy (DTA) Headquarters and global network.

(3.3) 10 sets of Design Thinking Tools and 6 Facilitation Skills should be included for executing the project.


Part 4: Date, Fee and Registration

(4.1) Tuition Fee: HK$3,000 (Early Bird, One Month Before Class Start) | HK$3,500 (Standard Price)

(4.5) Certification and Recognition: Candidates who successfully pass the assessment will be formally awarded the professional title of “Certified Design Thinking Facilitator.” Participants will be awarded a Digital Certificate and a Digital Badge, issued by the DesignThinkers Academy Headquarters. All certificates are processed through a blockchain‑enabled global certification management system, ensuring their uniqueness, authenticity, and international recognition.
