Showcasing Hong Kong’s Startup Ecosystem on a Global Stage

The Managing Partner of InnoEdge Consulting and Founder of InnoEdge Startup Hub, Mr. David Chung, was invited by the International Creativity and Innovation Award (ICIA) to deliver a keynote session titled “Going Global Master Class: Hong Kong Innovation & Startup Ecosystem” at the Global Startup Innovation Weekend 2026 held in Cambodia from 24 to 26 April 2026. His participation highlighted Hong Kong’s role as a dynamic innovation hub and reinforced InnoEdge’s commitment to nurturing globally competitive startups.

Drawing on InnoEdge’s extensive experience in AI‑empowered innovation management, Mr. Chung shared strategic insights on how Hong Kong’s East‑meets‑West business environment, world‑class R&D infrastructure, and vibrant startup community position the city as an ideal gateway to Mainland China and the broader Asian market. He also emphasized how AI‑driven collaboration between corporates, startups, and research institutions can accelerate cross‑border innovation throughout the region.

In his keynote, Mr. Chung introduced InnoEdge’s proprietary AI‑Empowered Design Thinking (DT 3.0) framework as a practical methodology for startups seeking successful regional and global expansion. Championing High‑Potential Startups on the Global Stage

Mr. Chung was also invited to serve on the judging panel for the Global Startup Innovation Weekend 2026, evaluating high‑potential ventures on their innovation, scalability, and readiness for international growth. Two standout teams, Team Duluin from Indonesia and Team Bamnang from Cambodia, won the Grand Award for the Global Startup Innovation Weekend 2026, with the photo below capturing the Grand Award teams and the 3‑hour Awarding Ceremony celebrating their achievements and global potential.
