[01] Positioning, Mission and Track Record

Global Startup Innovation Weekend (SIW) 2027 will be held from 23 to 25 April 2027. As a globally recognized startup incubation programme, SIW focuses on nurturing Early‑Growth Companies and University Startups, providing access to regional innovation networks, investor connections, and professional mentoring.
Global Startup Innovation Weekend (SIW) is a core pillar of the International Creativity and Innovation Awards (ICIA). Since its establishment in 2020, SIW and ICIA have been operated professionally on a non‑profit basis. To date, the programme has been strongly supported by over 50 countries, 18 government bodies, and 125 higher education institutions.
The mission of SIW is to help startups “deepen their presence in Asian markets and expand into Belt and Road countries.” The following section outlines ICIA’s development journey, together with a highlight recap video of SIW 2026. (Note: We have been invited to serve as judges and mentors for SIW 2026 [Details])
